As of October 2004 our West Valley Campus is home to over 400 students, 14 teachers and 8 staff members. To the west of our campus is one farm and then open fields, but judging by the bulldozer work it won't be there for long. To our north is an open field one mile square, and we border Quartz Hill High on the south and East sides. We don't get much traffic except for students and their families. We have a peaceful campus. Our one big distraction is heavy winds each spring.

The West Valley Campus of Desert Winds High School is located just to the west of the football stadium at Quartz Hill High School. Our buildings were originally set up to house the first ninth grade class of Highland High School. Before Desert Winds moved in here Del Sur School also used the buildings for a year. In addition to the Desert Winds West Valley Campus, the buildings at our site also house Quartz Hill's Independent Study Program and LA County's Desert Pathways School.
